How to Install F4SE (Fallout 4 Script Extender)?

Follow these steps to install Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE) manually:

  • Download the Fallout 4 Script Extender version that corresponds to your Fallout 4 runtime.
  • To extract the files, use 7-Zip. Do not use Windows’ built-in extractor.
  • Copy the following files into your Fallout 4 installation directory:

  • Vortex: Install the archive using drag-and-drop or URL. Set f4se_loader.exe as the default launcher in Dashboard.
